Bleed Ink

When you don't see me
I bleed
When you are distracted by your own mind
I open my skin and bleed ink
For all the letters I write for you but will never send
Once upon a time it was what made me smile
The idea of you reading my feelings
The thought of your hands and the paper I chose
And your eyes drinking the ink and poetry of my words
The thousands letters and notes
The small flower drawn on the corner
And it absurdly intensifies my need
My need to feel more and give it all away
My need for more ink
And more paper
And more words or pain
To play and pray for a catharsis that never comes
And now
Hiding in plain sight
I write
And cry
And bleed ink
